Machine Sciences procures 5th DMU50 to further expand 5-axis prototyping capacity

Tualatin, OR — [2/28/2025]

Machine Sciences has expanded its 5-axis machining capabilities with the acquisition of its 5th DMG-Mori DMU50 machine.

This increase of prototyping capacity further expands the company’s ability to support the fast-pace required by its customers. Although the company has best-in-class prototyping capacity, the growing volume of customers and demand has led to a decision to grow the supply of prototyping capacity further.

“Our customers are all building world-changing technology. None of them are interested in time constraints based on current capacity. Our strategy has always been to shrewdly scale our capacity in advance of our customers’ demand. There is much more to come,” stated Karrson Koivisto, Chief Sales + Marketing Officer.
