About the Role
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a wide variety of machines in a manufacturing
environment. They will set-up, operate, and maintain machinery to ensure the machine produces high
quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained. They need to work well in a
team environment and closely with other departments at Machine Sciences. Other duties include but not
limited to, using precision hand tools, measurements, machine operations, machine maintenance, safety
upkeep and cleaning practices.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
● Ability to operate machines
● Inspect products for surface defects and flaws
● Ability to ensure conformance to specifications
● Ability to identify and eliminate production of defective parts and products
● Load and unload parts from machines
● Knowledge of Deburr and Grinding preferred
● Check coolant levels and concentration
● Complete all production forms accurately
● Contributes to production goals of assigned department
● Perform preventative maintenance when needed
Requirements
● Must be able to use all required tools, machinery
● Must be able to perform fast paced repetitive tasks
● Must have good communication skills
● Able to read Blueprint Drawings is a plus
● Understand Production Traveler Procedure
● Must understand ISO Quality Policy
● Must understand and use the four basic arithmetic functions.
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● Must be able to read and follow Work Instructions and finish inspection
● Some Knowledge of Cutting Tools is a plus
● Familiar with C.N.C work instructions and Operator controls is a plus
