About the Role
The Hardware lead plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and
components through the assembly process. This position is responsible for scheduling hardware orders,
monitoring inventory levels, coordinating procurement, and maintaining accurate records to support
production timelines and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination:
● Create and manage hardware production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer
orders, and inventory levels.
● Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to ensure timely availability
and delivery of materials.
● Track incoming and outgoing hardware to maintain alignment with production schedules.
Inventory Management:
● Monitor and manage hardware inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and avoid shortages or
overstock situations.
● Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
● Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems.
Procurement Support:
● Assist in ordering materials and components from approved vendors based on lead times and
usage rates.
● Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and vendor performance.
● Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve supply chain issues.
Documentation & Reporting:
● Maintain up-to-date documentation on inventory transactions, scheduling changes, and hardware
specifications.
● Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities in the
scheduling and inventory process.
Continuous Improvement:
● Identify inefficiencies in scheduling and inventory processes and recommend improvements.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and lean
manufacturing practices.
Requirements
● Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related
field (or equivalent experience).
● 2+ years of experience in inventory management, production scheduling, or a similar role in a
manufacturing environment.
● Proficiency with inventory software and ERP systems (ProShop)
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
● Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
